Ronnie L. Winford, 63, of Lake City died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, at his home. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War and had lived in Lake City all of his life. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake City.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janice Winford; his parents, Clarence and Gladys Winford, three brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia Winford, of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jackie and Missie Winford, Kenneth and Marie Winford, Jeffrey and Leona Winford, all of Lake City; a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Ronald Tyler of Lake City; a brother, Ed Winford of Lake City; two sisters, Wilma Stogsdill of Lake City and Janice Finley of Huffman, Texas; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Lake City with Dr. Robert Foster and Denny Newcomb officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Mike Hook, Jimmy McClung, Terry Couch, William Flynn, Dennis Newcomb, and John Milligan. Burial was private.
