LaVon Boyd, 93, of Manila, died Saturday, June 21, 2008, at Skilled Car Nursing Center in Jonesboro. She was born April 25, 1915, at Conway to Sylvester Harrison Bradshaw and Lillie Ann Sims Bradshaw. She married Coy Boyd in 1934 at St. Francis. She was a homemaker and was a member of Browns Chapel Baptist Church in Manila.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Dr. Coy Mack Boyd; a daughter, Shirley Nell Boyd; a sister, Pauline Crittendon; three brothers, Tom Bradshaw, Jack Bradshaw and Rayburn Bradshaw.

She is survived by her husband, Coy Boyd of Manila; two sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and JoAnne Boyd of Manila and Dr. Charles and Sylvia Boyd of Jackson, Tenn.; a daughter, Debbye Boyd of Little Rock; a brother, Bill Bradshaw of Kennett, Mo.; two sisters, Bobbie Overall of Nesbit, Miss., and Mary Spain of Horn Lake, Miss.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held at the Manila Cemetery at 11 a.m. June 24 with Rev. Jim Fowler officiating. Bradshaw Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
