Nettie Faye Bowman

Nettie Faye Bowman, 69, of Marmaduke died Thursday, June 26, 2008, at Evergreen Healthcare in Rector after an extensive illness. Born July 7, 1938 to the late Rev. John Markin and Gracie Markin, she was a lifelong area resident, a member of the First Baptist Church in Marmaduke and a retired pharmacy sales clerk.

Survivors include her husband Nolan Bowman of Marmaduke; two sisters, Pat Markin Keith of California and Lori Jean Markin Challenger of Kentucky.

Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Denise P. Bowman, five brothers, Derring, Dual, Oschal, Neal, James Markin, and a sister, Paula Poe.

Graveside service was 10 a.m. Saturday, June 28, at Harvey's Chapel Cemetery in Marmaduke with Rev. Kim Bridges officiating. Faith Funeral Service of Manila was in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the First Baptist Church, Marmaduke.
