Edna J. Baker

Edna "Judy" Baker, 78, of Austin, Texas, died Monday, June 9, 2008. She was born Nov. 16, 1929, at Lake City to Wesley and Goldie Huffman Harrell. She retired from General Electric after 31 years of service. She was a member of Lake City Methodist Church. She moved to Austin from Lake City two and a half years ago.

Survivors include a son, Randall "Boyd" Baker, and wife Carol of Austin; son, Gerald Baker, and wife Debbie of Phoenix; a sister, Annece Carter of Memphis; a brother, Max Houston of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Brad Baker of Springfield, Mo., Kristen Baker Malone of Austin and Matt Baker of Phoenix; and three great-granddaughters, Hannah, Aubrey and Eva.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Roland Houston.

Her ashes will be spread at her favorite place to fish, the bar pit at Lake City.
