Danny Virgil Summerville, Sr.

Danny Virgil Summerville, Sr., 45, of Manila, died Monday, May 12, 2008, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. Born in Newport News, Vir., he had lived most of his life in Bowling Green, Fla., and had been a Manila resident since 2005.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Virgil Summerville.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Michelle Marie Summerville, of the home; a son, Danny Summerville, Jr., and his wife, Crystal; a daughter, Melissa Lorraine Summerville and her special friend, Allen King, all of Manila; his mother, Chris Thompson and her husband, Kenneth; a brother, John Summerville and his special friend, Samantha; a sister, Sherry Frey and her husband, Wayne, all of Bowling Green, Fla.; two grandsons, Nicholas Summerville and Michael King.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Leachville Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service with Rev. Waymon Holt officiating.
