Dewayne L. Huffstutler

Dewayne L. Huffstutler, 75 of Rector, died on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born Feb. 15, 1933, in Boydsville, to the late Carl Huffstutler and Vinnie Nash Huffstutler, Mr. Huffstutler was a long time area resident of Rector, a retired warehouse supervisor with Emerson Electric, member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Oak Grove Heights, minister and Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Lorene Huffstutler of Rector; a son, Tim Huffstutler, and wife Lisa of Paragould; two daughters and spouses, Donna and Bill Watson of Paragould, Juanita and Joe Green of Richmond, Mo.; a brother, Paul Huffstutler of Lafe; three sisters, Gloria Riney and Janis Mitchell, both of Paragould, Joyce Lewis of Marmaduke; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Huffstutler was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jerry Huffstutler and Denny Huffstutler, and a sister, Euba Hardin.

Services were Tuesday 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove Heights, Paragould, with Rev. David Stallings officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery, Rector, with Faith Funeral Service of Manila in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were family and friends.
