Monette

Marion Franklin Perrin, 62, of Monette, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis. He was born Dec. 6, 1945, in Monette to the late Junie and Linnie Dell Perrin. He was a truck driver for Federal Express in West Memphis.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Perrin of the home; a son, Shawn Perrin of Monette; a daughter, Shelley Kelley of Jonesboro; four sisters, Juanita Bourque of Baton Rouge, La., Valdarene Smithee and Geneva Smithee both of Monette, and Jewellean Fackler of Peoria, Ill.; two brothers, Floyd Perrin of Fort Worth, Texas, and Lloyd Perrin of Monette; seven grandchildren, Jordan Perrin, Nathan Perrin, Cameron Cole, Shawna Cole, Hunter Allen, Kyla Kelley and Lauren Allen, and a great-granddaughter, Presley Perrin.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Mardell LeBlanc, and a brother, J.R. Thomas.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 4, at the Macey Cemetery near Monette with Rev. Terry Miller officiating under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.

Visitation was Thursday evening at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were John Gathright, Jack Gathright, Don Ballard, Bill Craig, Dickie Howell and Jerry Brooks.
