Jonesboro

Lorraine Anne Ringrose, 89, of Jonesboro, formerly of Manila died Monday, Dec. 17. 2007, at the Craighead Nursing Center in Jonesboro. She was the widow of John Daniel Ringrose. Born at Grandfork, North Dakota, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Anne Gray Mero. She was a graduate of the University of North Dakota where she received her Masters Degree. She furthered her education by receiving a PhD. in chemistry from Iowa State University. She was an employee of DuPont Chemical Corporation where she developed two patents in Dye and Color Research and Formulation. She was a resident of Palm Bay, Fla., for 24 years. She was a longtime member of the Port Malabar Country Club in Palm Bay.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, John Daniel Ringrose, Jr., her brother, John Mero, three sisters, Marian Mero, Helen Bensko and Jean Lang.

Survivors include two sons, Bruce Ringrose of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Steven Ringrose of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a daughter, Anne Cagle of Manila; four grandchildren, Sarah Cagle, Chris Ringrose, Tim Ringrose, and Bethany Ringrose; one great-grandchild, Corinne Ringrose.
