Bland Robert "Bob" Harper, 62, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. He was born Oct. 9, 1945, in Paragould to the late Dr. B.R. and Thera Harper Sr. He was a self-employed salesman.

Survivors include his wife, Carrie Harper of the home; two sons, Houston Robert Harper of St. Louis and Richard Andrew Harper of Little Rock.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Parsons Harper; a sister, Judith Jan Harper; and his grandparents, Dr. T.P. and Anna Harper.

A celebration of his life was held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with the Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Monette Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Matt Modelevsky, W.T. Bibb, Bill Craig, Dennis Finch, Kenneth Worthey and Mike Bridges. Honorary pallbearers were Clay Stewart, Jack Gathright, Bubby McFarlin, Harry Adams, Jr., Brandon Crump, Larry Denny and Wayland McClelland.

The family requests anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider the Monette First United Methodist Church.
