Helen Bernice "Chick" Rice, 80, of Manila died Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, at her home. Born at Manila, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Rosetta Clark Hedge and had been a lifelong Manila resident. She was a homemaker and member of Manila First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, J.B. Rice, of the home; two daughters, Charlotte Rice and Pam Renfroe, both of Manila; four grandchildren, Kim Dirks of Monte Vista, Colo., Jama Converse of Dustin, Okla., Todd Renfroe of Wetumka, Okla. and Russ Renfroe of Bartlesville, Okla.; three great-grandchildren, Hardy Dirks, Sarah Hutchins and Robyn Hutchins, and a great-great-grandson, Kalen Looney.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial was at the Manila Cemetery.
