Haywood Holsclaw, 94, of Brookings, Ore., formerly of Forrest City, died Sept. 29, 2007, at the Chetco Inn Hospice in Gold Beach, Ore. He was born May 13, 1913, in Arkansas, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William P. Holsclaw. He was a retired pawn broker and a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Vida Ray Mooney, in 1971.

Survivors include a son, Jimmy Haywood Holsclaw of Sandy Valley, Nev.; five grandchildren, Ed Watson, Cheryl Keil, William Holsclaw, Brian Holsclaw and Jimmy Ray Holsclaw; 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services were 2 p.m. Oct. 7 at Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
