Gean "Buddy" Davis, 50 of Manila and formerly of Blytheville, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. Born to Faye O. and Juanita Larkin Davis in Blytheville, he had been an area resident all of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a loyal member of the Clear Lake Baptist Church. He was a Mason, Director of Vacation Bible School, teacher at the Vacation Bible School and conducted home prayer groups. Davis was a disabled over the road truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Louise Webster Davis of the home; children, Valerie Kay Davis, Robert Thomas Davis, Michael James Davis, all of the home, Ashley Marie and Keith Snyder of Cleveland, Miss.; his parents, Faye O. and Juanita Larkin Davis of Collierville, Tenn.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray L. and Carin Davis of Alexandria, Ala., Brent D. Davis of Rogers, Dr. Benny F. and Annie Davis of Simpsonville, S.C.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan Beth and Dr. Jerome Arimura of Lake Charles, La., Cynthia Davis and Steven R. Vincent of Collierville, Tenn., and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. today (Tuesday) in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville with Dr. Jimmy Russell officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
