Leachville

Jose "Chepo" Castanon, Jr., 35, of Leachville, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro from injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Black Oak. Born at LaFeria, Texas, he had been a Leachville resident since 1989. He was employed by FDA Farms of Caraway and was a Catholic.

Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Clowers Castanon, of the home; two daughters, Kaytlen Castanon and Maegan Castanon, both of the home; his father, Jose Castanon, Sr., of Leachville; his mother and step-father, Marie Castanon Gonzalez and Serapio Gonzalez, of Santa Rosa, Texas; two sisters, Ludivina "Toby" Garza and Elvira Myers of Leachville; two brothers, Santiago "Jimmy" Castanon of Leachville and Felipe Castanon of Santa Rosa, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Billy Allen and Dustin Finch officiating. Burial was in Leachville Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville.
