Monette

Seth Wallace Whited, 18, of Monette died Friday Aug. 10, 2007. Born at Jonesboro Aug. 25, 1988, he was a farmer and was attending Arkansas Northeastern College, pursuing a physical therapy degree. He was a member of Monette First Baptist Church, where he was active in the youth program. He was an avid outdoor hunter, fisherman and water sportsman.

He graduated from Buffalo Island Central in 2006 where he was active in FFA, baseball, basketball, Renaissance honor society and 4-H, where he received many awards on both county and district level.

Survivors include his mother, Debra Wallace Whited of the home; grandparents, Mary Frances Wallace, Leroy and Letha Whited, all of Monette, and P.D. Wallace of Cherokee Village; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Roy M. Whited, in February 2007; and his brother, Zachary Aaron Whited, in December 2006.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Monday in Monette First Baptist Church with Rev. Rusty Byrd, Rev. Jeremy Sullivan and Rev. Ernest Cornish officiating. Burial was in Monette Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Pallbearers were Justin Hawkins, Bradley Wallace, Kimberley Wallace, Dustin Finch, Mark Hawkins, Josh Whited, Blake Sandusky, Micah Thompson, Julie Thompson, Heath Hawkins, Heather Sandusky Short, Allie Whited, Dr. Walter Short, Todd Emison, Curtis Couch, Ben Smithee, Gary Angelo, Derek Cornish, Chad Jackson, Bob Cornish, Jack Gathright, PeeWee Gathright, Mitchell Davis, Tyler Cornish, Bradley Davis, Brandon Davis, Clayton Miller, Tyler Wamsley, Kris Kelton, Josh Nettles, Matthew Ibanez, M.J. Emery and the Buffalo Island Central Class of 2006.

The family requests anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider the Zach-Seth Whited Buffalo Island Central FFA Scholarship Fund or Monette First Baptist Church.
