Beulah Gould Martin

Beulah Gould Martin, 80, of Augusta, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, at her home. Born Feb. 26, 1927, in Maynard, the daughter of the late Joe and Louie Yates Gould, she was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Handler Martin, Sr.

Mrs. Martin leaves two sons, Earnest Martin, Jr. of Manila and Wayne Martin of Hoxie; three daughters, Faye Howard of Somerville, Texas, and Judy Whatley and Barbara Skinner, both of Augusta; a brother, Lehman Gould of Lepanto; a sister, Betty Dixon of Lepanto; 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Cobb Funeral Home chapel in Blytheville with Rev. Gary Galloway officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.
