Jonesboro

Ruby Marie Pruitt, 95, died Sunday, May 27, 2007, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born in Monette on Jan. 20, 1912, to the late Walter and Della Tinkle Hazelwood. She had lived in Jonesboro for 25 years, formerly of Monette. She was a homemaker and member of Walnut Street Baptist Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years, Order of the Amaranth where she was Worthy Matron for several years, and White Shrine of Jerusalem.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Robert Pruitt; a son, Robert Eugene Pruitt; three sisters; and two brothers.

Survivors include a sister, Mildred Edwards, of Jonesboro; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Curtis Shatley and Dr. Glen Putman officiating. Burial was under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
