Oscar "Lanny" Waugh, 55, of Gloster, La., died May 1, 2007, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge.

He was born May 29, 1951, in Caraway to Oscar and Hazel Stewart Waugh. He was a tanker for Senac Towing Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, J.L. Pank" Waugh; and a brother-in-law, Wayne Toombs.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Whittington Waugh of Gloster; two daughters, Jamie Waugh and mean Waugh of West Memphis; a stepdaughter, Janet King and husband, Mack, of Flowood; a stepson, Jay Hall of Brookhaven; three step-grandchildren, Rachel King of Flowood, and Chase and Jaylan Hall of Brookhaven; five sisters, Nell Armistead of Olive Branch, Faye McDaniel and husband, Mack, of Hardy, Joan Toombs of Blytheville, Lilly Romine and husband, John, of Mammoth Spring, and Regina Atkins and husband, Tommy, of Kennesaw, Ga.; two brothers, Reggie Waugh and wife, Sharon, of Ft. Deposit, Ala., and Bill Waugh and wife, Grace, of Caraway; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers were Winborne Sullivan, Gene Walters, Joe Spillman, Mark Thrasher, Charles Ravencraft and Brother Newman.

Brown Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements with Rev. Leroy Wheeler officiating. Burial was in Talbert Cemetery near Gloster.
