Margie Geraldean Ashley, 77, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, April 7, 2007, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital at Walnut Ridge. She was born in Lake City on Aug. 30, 1929, into the family of Norman and Maggie Tiner. She retired from St. Bernards Medical Center and was of the Pentecost belief.

Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth A. Cambron and her husband, Walter, of Jonesboro; her mother, Maggie Tiner of Lake City; two grandchildren, Darren Payton of Lake City and Jamie Payton of Jonesboro; two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth VanOven and Hoyt VanOven; two sisters, Mary Pulley and Norma Bowman, both of Lake City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Ashley, in 1989.

A graveside service and burial was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, in Jonesobro Memorial Park Cemetery with Kenneth Doke officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.
