Robert Mason Trammel, 92, died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at his residence in Monette. Born in Salado, he lived in the Monette area throughout his lifetime. He was of the Baptist belief and a retired farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Willene Cason Trammel of the home; two sons, Robert Trammel and his wife, Donna, of Manila and Donald Trammel and his wife, Billie Sue, of Tupelo, Miss.; a daughter, Macine Trammel Hughes and her husband, Bobby Joe, of Jonesboro; two grandsons, Jeff Trammel of Denton, Texas, and Robert Walden of Jonesboro; a granddaughter, Lori Ann Johnson and her husband, Chris, of Germantown, Tenn.; two great-grandchildren, Mason Johnson and Lilly Johnson, both of Germantown; Tenn.; and a sister-in-law, Vesta Linebarger of Visalia, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Luther and Jenny Trammel.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today (Tuesday) in the Monette Cemetery at Monette with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Services are under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
