Billy Gene Moyer, 73, of the Milligan Ridge Community, near Manila, died Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born Oct. 31, 1933, at Milligan Ridge, he was the son of the late John and Mary Martha Moyer, and had lived his life at Milligan Ridge. He was a member of Milligan Ridge Baptist Church and was a retired carpenter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, John Rodney Moyer, his brothers, Jim, Lynn, Lawrence, Loin and Olan Moyer, and his sisters, Pauline, Agnes, Evelyn, Shirley and Irene.

He is survived by his wife, Monteen Hurley Moyer, of the home; two daughters, Paula Pyland of Osceola and Daina Tyler of Manila; two grandchildren, Tara Flores and Jordan Tyler; and one great-granddaughter, Nadia Flores.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Waymon Holt and Rev. Graig Stull officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery. The family will receive visitors this evening (Tuesday) from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
