Lake City

Charles Edgar Gray, 68, of Lake City died Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, in NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was retired from the Craighead County Highway Department in Black Oak and of the Pentecostal belief. He was a hunter and fisherman all of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James J. and Nettie Opal Houston Gray, a brother and sister.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn, of the home; a son, David Earl Gray, of Paragould; brothers, Jerry Gray of Brookland, Wilman Gray of Paragould and Mike Gray of Jonesboro; sisters, Ruby Gray of Lake City, Hazel Williams of Oak Grove Heights and Elaine Osburn of Fort Scott, Kan.

The funeral was held at 1:30 Thursday in Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Steve Crawford officiating. Burial was in Pine Log Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jay and Andy Ritsmon, Gary, Jeff, Brandon Gray, Justin Gray and David Cobb. Honorary pallbearers were employees of Craighead County Highway Department.
