Huey "Dude" Reed Jr., 80, life-long resident and farmer of Milligan Ridge, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jane Reed; a daughter and son-in-law Judy and Ron Harris of Austin, Texas; two granddaughters and their spouses, Kelly and Mike Jansson of Fayetteville and Shawna and Ken Meharg, also of Fayetteville; two great-grandchildren, Katie and Clay Jansson.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette and at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Milligan Ridge Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Milligan Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Waymon Holt and Rev. Rex Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Monette Memorial Cemetery.
