Lillian Arlene Emery, 81, of Caraway died Monday, Oct. 2, 206, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was the daughter of the late Artie Dee and Laura Williams Reams, was of the Christian faith, and had lived most of her life in Caraway.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Dee Emery, and a brother, J.D. Reams.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, George Emery of Caraway; three sons, Melton Emery, Terry Emery and Barry Emery, all of Caraway; six brothers, Alvin Reams of Milligan Ridge, Gene Reams of Steele, Mo., Wayne Reams of Bernie, Mo., Doug Reams of Milligan Ridge, Wilburn Reams of Milligan Ridge, and Truman Reams of Milligan Ridge; three sisters, Esther McCormick of Caraway, Virginia Hancock of Bradford, and Geraldine Gipson of Caraway; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

A graveside service was held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Caraway Cemetery with Billy Gipson officiating. Mrs. Emery's brothers served as honorary pallbearers. Burial was under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville. To sign the online guest register, log on to howardfuneralservice.com.
