Arbyrd

Lando Charles Moore, 88, of Arbyrd died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, in Paragould. Born July 19, 1918, in Hollywood, Mo., he was a graduate of Arbyrd High School, a veteran of World War II and retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

He married Jewel McCormack on Oct. 12, 1940.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel; his parents, Guy and Dollie More; two brothers, W.C. "Bud" Moore and W.G. "Dub" Moore; and two sisters, Virginia Moore and Alberta Herrell Davis.

Survivors include a son, Charlie Moore of Leachville; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Dale Coy of Paragould; a sister and brother-in-law, Rosemary and George Wilson of Searcy; a grandson, Tommy Coy and wife, Jennie, of Little Rock; two granddaughters, Keisha Bower and husband, Gary, of Muncy, Penn., and Paige Moore of Arbyrd; one great-grandson, Jackson Boer of Muncy; and three great-granddaughters, Olivia Bower of Muncy, and Anne Marie Coy and Alexis coy, both of Little Rock.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Arbyrd Church of Christ, conducted by Alvin Leach, George Wilson, Larry Wilson, Dale E. Coy and song leader Tommy Coy. Burial will be in Cardwell Cemetery.

Active pallbearers are Richard Zolman, Lymon Zolman, Ron Zolman, Larry Petty, Eric Kisner and Keith Guthrie.

Honorary pallbearers include Eulus Vaughn, George H. "Dunk" Allison, Neal Smith and Kenny Guthrie.

Arrangements were under the direction of McDaniel Funeral Home of Arbyrd.
