Mary Trude Davis, 83, of Osceola, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, at the South Mississippi County Regional Medical Center in Osceola. Born July 21, 1923, in Moundsville, Ala., to Newborn and Sarah Duncan Griffin, she was of the Baptist faith, a homemaker and a longtime area resident.

Mrs. Davis leaves two sons, Bo Davis of Etowah and Anthony Davis of Osceola; a daughter, Linda Davis of Blytheville; four grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Cole and Joan Mueller, both of East Prairie, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Hester Davis, two sons, three daughters, three grandsons, three brothers and three sisters.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Roller-Swift Funeral Chapel in Osceola with burial at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
