Joseph Carrol "J.C." Davis - Leachville

Joseph Carrol "J.C." Davis, 69, of Leachville, died Monday, Aug. 7, 2006, at St. Bernards Medical center in Jonesboro.

Born in Helena, he was the son of the late Charlie and Pauline Eaton Davis and had been a lifelong Leachville area resident. He was a former longtime employee of brown Shoe Company and was a retired Industrial Mechanic for Bush Canning Company, formerly of Blytheville, and was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Leachville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Davis.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Thelma Hetler Davis, of the home; two daughters, Debbie Davis of Leachville and Pamela Blasko of Paragould; two sisters, Virginia Haales of Pine Bluff and Maxine King of Paragould; four grandchildren, Neal Thrash of Lafe, Kristy Thrash, Blane Blasko and Jade Blasko, all of Paragould.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Rudy Davis officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Harvey James, Lloyd Edgin, Marvin Brown, Henry Hetler, Chris Hetler, and Neal Thrash.
