Viola Faye Niswonger - Schugtown

Viola Faye Niswonger, 70, of Schugtown died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, in Arkansas Methodist Medical Center at Paragould. Born Sept. 5, 1935, at Leachville, she was a retired custodian from Arkansas State University and a member of Mt. Olive Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Leslie Crow of Schugtown, and Kimberly and Jay Hicks of Beech Grove; grandchildren, Barry Crow of Walcott, Christy Crow of Brookland, and K.J. and Levi Hicks of Beech Grove; a sister, Betty Davis of Lake City; nine great-grandchildren; an aunt, Ozella Burns of Rockford, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Niswonger; a son, Ronnie Albert Niswonger; and parents, Charlie Lee and Pearl Mae Archer Dixon.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Friday in Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Jay Hicks and Rev. David Mote officiating. Burial was in Greene County Memorial Gardens under the direction of Heath Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Barry Crow, Ricky Johnson, Don Sharp, Marty Needham, Randy Joiner and Wendell Kersey.

Honorary pallbearers were Larry Davis, Nathan Davis and Stan Hunt.
