Hubert Elmer Johnson - Leachville

Hubert Elmer Johnson, 73, of Leachville died Thursday, April 27, 2006, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Steele, Mo., he was the son of the late Sam and Many Sachet Johnson and was a retired farmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Timmy Johnson, and grandson, Orlan Johnson.

Survivors include a son, Brian Lee Johnson, of Williford; two daughters, Shirley Ford of Manila and Carolyn Mitchell of Viola; a sister, Margaret Adams of California; 23 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Mark Wheeler officiating. Burial was in the Horner Cemetery at Hornersville, Mo.
