Sharon Kay Dudley - Jonesboro

Sharon Kay Campbell Dudley, 59, of Jonesboro died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at Lakeside Nursing Center in Lake City where she had been a resident for the past five years.

Born in Oxnard, Calif., she lived in Jonesboro for 11 years, moving there from El Paso, Texas. She was a retired school teacher where she taught computer literacy and business education. She was a 1970 graduate of Arkansas State University with a BSE degree and was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. She was listed in the Outstanding Young Women of America in 1982 and was a member of the Southwest Church of Christ in Jonesboro.

She was the daughter of Trena Campbell and John R. Campbell. She was preceded in death by her father, and a brother, Robert Campbell.

Survivors include her husband, Buddy Dudley of Jonesboro; her daughter and son-in-law, Jami Elizabeth and Pat Calahan; three grandchildren, all of Mesquite, Texas; and her mother, Trena Campbell of North Little Rock.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Jimmy Adcox officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
