Hershel Leslie Copeland - Caraway

Hershel Leslie Copeland, 74, of Caraway, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Booneville, Miss., he lived most of his life in Arkansas. He was a retired janitor from Osceola Shoe Factory and of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include sons, Terry Copeland, and wife, Louanne, of Monette; Jerry Copeland, and wife, Virginia, of Bondsville; Billy Copeland of Manila; and Danny Copeland of Mt. Dora, Fla.; a daughter, Lisa Martinez of Parker, Ariz.; a brother, Bobby Copeland of Osceola; nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Anthony Copeland; daughter, Patricia Peridore; his parents, Lester and Mary Bell Trooper Copeland; and brother, Virgil Copeland.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial was in Macey Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Nathan Fraizer, Robert White, Farley Towery, Buddy Towery, Michael Farrar and Tony Farrar.
