Gladys Lucille Harrison - Monette

Gladys Lucille Harrison, 81, of Monette died Monday, Nov. 21, 2005, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Savannah, Tenn., she lived in the Monette area most of her life. She was a retired florist and a member of Monette First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Patti and Gary Qualls of Monette; a son and daughter-in-law, Wallace and Kay Harrison of Manila; three grandchildren, Susan Hill and Cory Harrison, both of Manila, and Todd Harrison of McMann, Texas; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Harrison; her parents, Floyd and Nellie Thrasher Nolan; and a brother, Frank Nolan.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial was in Monette Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Bill Wiser, Greg James, Jackie Hill, Donald Nolan, Teddy Qualls and Bill Hill.

Honorary pallbearers were Alvis Snider, Lucian Lane, Lloyd Bibb and Ronald Nolan.

The family requests anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider the First Baptist Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.
