Carrie Ivonne (Branom) Martin, 66, of Austin, died Friday, Nov. 11, 2005, at her residence in Austin. Born June 10, 1939 at Manila, she was the daughter of Emmitt Filmore Branom and Nora Elizabeth (Crafton) Branom. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Osceola Healthcare.

Survivors include two sons, William "Bo" Martin and his wife, Gloria, of Cabot, and Bobby Martin of Cabot; a stepson, Virgil Wayne Martin and his wife, Margie, of Batesville; three daughters, Debra Bettencourt and her husband, Robert, of Hanford, Calif., Donna Allen and her husband, Wayne of Farmersville, Calif., and Earlene Quinn and her husband, Mark, of Jacksonville; two brothers, Terry Branom and his wife, D.K., of Arizona and Glen Branom and his wife, Marlene, of Mesa, Ariz.; five sisters, Rose Hatler of Visalia, Calif., Liz Helms and her husband, Doug Bloodworth, of Newberry Springs, Calif., Mary Blackwell of Phoenix, Ariz., Loretta Price and her husband, Eddie, of Manila, and Marie Bjork and her husband, Mike, of Tulare, Calif.; ten grandchildren, Dale Cannon, Charles "JR" Allen, Carrie Goldman, Marty Peterson, Mitchell Ellis, Eric Allen, Brittany Martin, Aven Martin, Wayne Hitchcock, and Tara Hitchcock; and five great-grandchildren, Zachary Quinn, Whisper Goldman, Breanna Allen, Alex Goldman, and Kaitlyn Hitchcock.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of over 30 years, Virgil Martin, a daughter, Darlene McCormick, and a brother, Homer Branom.

Arrangements are being handled by Roller-Swift Funeral Home, Highway 61 South, P.O. Box 563, Osceola, where family will receive friends form noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at Roller-Swift Funeral chapel with Sister Glenda Medford officiating. Interment will be at Manila Cemetery in Manila.
