Jimmy Rayburn Puckett - Caraway

Jimmy Rayburn Puckett, 69, of Caraway, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, at Regional Medical Center of NEA in Jonesboro. Born Saturday, Sept. 21, 1935, in Leachville, he was the son of Roy Puckett and Bonnie (Wright) Puckett. He was a lifelong area resident and a member of Rowes Chapel in Caraway. He had a masters in education degree and was a principal for 14 years at the Caraway Public School. Mr. Puckett also owned and operated Puckett's Grocery in Keiser and Caraway.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Dorothy (Stevens) Puckett; a daughter, Debbie Stubblefield, and husband, Tony, of Keiser; a brother, Ken Puckett, of Caraway; four grandchildren, Steven and Angie Stubblefield of Jonesboro, and Kelly Puckett and Taylor Rogers of Keiser.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Wayne Puckett.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Friday at Roller Swift Chapel with Rev. Rick Stevens officiating. Interment was at the Caraway Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Swift Funeral Home of Osceola.
