David O. Walker - Reyno

David O. Walker, 75, of Reyno, died April 21, 2005, at Randolph County Medical Center in Pocahontas. He was born Jan. 29, 1930, at Keiser. He was a retired ranch and farm laborer. He was a U.S. veteran of the military services. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Reyno, and the Masonic Lodge, 32 Mason, of Pocahontas.

He is survived by his wife, Ava May Rountree Walker of the home; three sons, Robert Walker of Texas, David E. Walker of Reyno, and Forrest Walker of Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Angel and Luke Hoggard of Paragould; three brothers, James Walker of Portsmouth, Vir., Harold Walker of Paragould and Jack Walker of Manila; a sister, Virginia Harmon of Ft. Smith; seven grandchildren, Charity, Samantha, Katie and Colin Hoggard of Paragould and Justin, Travis, and Emily Walker of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Arthur and Dora Mae Kent Walker, two brothers, Robert and Martin Walker, three sisters, Elizabeth Rice, Jean Davis and Betty Carter.

The funeral was held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Reyno with Rev. Roger Hovis officiating. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery in Pocahontas under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home of Corning.
