Philene Jean Virgin - Lake City

Philene Jan Virgin, 45, of Lake City, died Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at St. Bernards Medical Center of Jonesboro. A native of Kansas City, Mo., she had lived in Lake City for a year, was a trade artist and attended Refuge Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, David Virgin, of the home; two sons, Kendel Jeter of Alexandria, La., and Halen Virgin of Lake City; her father Philip Sperbeck of Alexandria; her mother, Georene Capps of Camdenton, Mo.; and five sisters, Wendy Duck of Mission, Kan., Christy Kenyon of Camdenton, Kathy Kline and Britteny Sperbeck, both of Alexandria, and Sharon Caps of Kansas City, Mo.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Valley View Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Floyd officiating. Burial was private and under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
