Robert Lee DeWitt II - Lake City

A memorial service for Robert Lee DeWitt II, 75, of Lake City, who died Saturday, April 2, 2005, at St. Bernards Medical Center, will be at 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Refuge General Baptist Church near Lake City.

The Rev. Larry Ward will officiate, and burial will be private under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home of Lake City.

Born at Tulot, he lived at Lake City for the past 28 years. He was a retired car dealer and finance manager, a Navy veteran of the Korean War and a former member of the Lake City Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include his wife, Terry Lee DeWitt of the home; a son, Robert Lee DeWitt III of Lake City; a brother, W.C. DeWitt of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Mary Lou Thomas of the Burnt Hill community and Janie Stewart of South bend, Ind.; and a grandson, Courtley Johnson of Dixie.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Annette DeWitt, his parents, William Cecil and Hettie DeWitt, and two brothers.
