J.B. Evans - Caraway

J.B. "Bill" Evans, 80, of Caraway died Sunday, March 20, 2005, in Lake City.

Born in Parkin, he was a World War II Navy veteran, retired from the Arkansas Highway Department and a member of Church of God in Lepanto.

Survivors include a son, James Percy Evans of Florida; a grandchild, Kori Messer Evans; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Neoma Mae Poff Evans; his parents, James and Hester Boudy Evans; four brothers; and two sisters.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Church of God in Lepanto with Brian Monehan officiating. Burial was in Bolivar Cemetery under the direction of Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were Perry D. Hobbs, Richard Monehan, Shane Taylor, Abraham Soto, Daniel Guntharp and Troy Case.

Honorary pallbearers included Perry F. Hobbs and Rudy Anderson.
