Ada Lucille Overman - Jonesboro

Ada Lucille Overman, 90, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at Rose Skillcare Nursing Center of Jonesboro.

Born at Cord, she lived in Caraway before moving to Jonesboro in 1940. She worked for Gregg Funeral Home for several years and retired form Frolic Footwear. She was a member of Southwest Church of Christ.

Survivors include a granddaughter, Debbie Fowler of Holly Hill, Fla.; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eli W. Overman; a son, W. Glenn Overman; a brother; four sisters, and a granddaughter.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Pine Log Cemetery near Brookland, with Ernest Coleman officiating. Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro was in charge of arrangements.

The family requests anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider the Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.
