Daniel Lee Guymon -Manila

Daniel Lee Guymon, 87, of Manila, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Star City, he was the son of the late Frank and Effie Hughes Guymon and had been a Manila resident for most of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was retired form the Arkansas Highway Department.

He is survived by two daughters, Juanita Nache of Silvis, Ill., and Diane Jackson of East Moline, Ill.; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a special friend, Maxine Brewer, of Leachville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, a sister, and a brother.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.
