Rudolph "Rudy" Layfette Williams, 60, of Maryville, Tenn., died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was a member of Monte Vista Baptist Church and a graduate of the University of Arkansas. Williams was known for his integrity and wisdom. He was a mechanical engineer and long-term employee of Schlegel and was also in charge of building and design of the Reidsville NC Plant.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Williams; daughters, Dana Hope Oltmann and husband, Ricky, and Farrah Faith Williams-Bain and husband, Jeffrey, all of Maryville; grandchildren, John Oltmann, Alicia Oltmann, Shana Oltmann, Jay Oltmann, ShayLeigh Bain, and Cruise Bain; parents, Aaron and Rosalie Williams; brother, Sunny Williams; sister, Bobbye Shanks; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Jerry Mantooth and Rev. Sunny Williams officiating.

Entombment was in the Grandview Mausoleum.
