Nellie Smith - Lake City

Nellie Smith, 83, of Lake City died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, at Lakeside Nursing Home. Born in Hoxie, she was a homemaker.

Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie Haff and Mary Smith, both of Lake City, and Peggy Huddleston of Fischer, Texas; a son, James Smith of Bethel, Alaska; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ewing Smith, and a son, Johnny Wayne Smith.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Langford-Bookout Funeral Chapel in Jonesboro with Rev. Tommy Stacey officiating. Burial was in the Pine Log Cemetery near Brookland.
