Velma Kathryn Davis Martin - West Memphis

Velma Kathryn Davis Martin, 82, of West Memphis died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004, at Crittenden Memorial Hospital. Born at Williford, she was a member of the Missouri Street Church of Christ and the Auxiliary at Critttenden Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Martin of West Memphis; two sons, Gerald B. Martin of Marion and Bobby G. Martin of Cordova, Tenn.; two sisters, Louise Perser of Bartow, Fla., and Virginia Gilliam of Harrisburg; two brothers, Ray Davis of Jonesboro and John N. Davis, Jr., of Lake City; four grandchildren, Laura Martin of Ocala, Fla., Jeffrey Martin of Dover and Kevin M. Martin and Matthew C. Martin, both of Hot Springs; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Newt and Clemmie Riddle Davis.

The funeral was held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel in West Memphis with Charlie Dewitt officiating. Burial was in the Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.

Pallbearers were Mike Allen, Charlie Dabbs, Elbert Lucas, John Lewis, D.C. Armstrong, and Frank Harris.
