Daisy Helen Randall, 96, died July 13, 2004, at Wallowa Memorial Hospital in Enterprise, Ore.

She was born in Steele, Mo., on March 3, 1908, to Edward Lafayette Parks and Vestal Virginia Norris Parks, and was raised in Tennessee.

She moved to Manila as a young adult and married Ellsworth Herder at Blytheville on Nov. 1, 1927. They moved to LaGrande, Ore., where they had one child, Dorothy. After divorcing Mr. Herder, Daisy and Dorothy moved to Ellensburg, Washington.

She married Howard Randall in 1939. They ranched for many years in the Dry Creek area of Ellensburg.

She was active and independent well into her 90's before she required assistance. At age 91, her job at Senior Meals was to help others onto the bus. She enjoyed being outdoors, walked to most of her destinations and loved cattle and border collie dogs.

Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy Knight of Lostine; step-daughter, Alma Lynn of Seattle; a sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and B.A. McCann of Manila; a brother, Luther Parks of Manila; granddaughters and spouses, Kay and Brion Buisman of Olympia, Wash., Patty and Glen Engelling of Wallowa and Judy Rabourne and Arnie Krause of Elgin; great-grandsons, James and wife, Amanda Rabourne; and Roger Rabourne of LeGrande; step-great-grandsons and spouses, Mike and Linda Lynn and Chad and Audrey Lynn of the Seattle area.

She was preceded in death by former husband, Ellsworth Herder in 1980; husband Howard Randall in 1984; sisters, Katherine and Martha; brothers, Jim, Norris, Jack and Sam.

Services were held in Blytheville and she was buried at the Dogwood Cemetery on Monday, July 19.
