James Lee Bogart - Horseshoe Bend

James Lee "Uncle Shorty" Bogart, 68, of Horseshoe Bend, died Sunday, May 2, 2004, in Mountain Home at the Baxter Regional Hospital. He was born July 3, 1935, to the late James N. and Dorothy Bogart, in Wiseman. He was a retired farmer and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by six children, all of Michigan, 36 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Junior Bogart of Hartford, Mich., Randall Bogard of Niles, Mich.; two step-brothers, and one step-sister. He also leaves behind a very dear niece, Bonnie Price, her husband, Steve, and their daughter Shailyn of Manila, and some very dear friends, Maxine, Earl and Ronnie Scott of Viola; and many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Diane, three brothers, Evert, Gene and Vernon; two step-brothers, Tracy and Richard Gilespy.

A memorial service was held in Horseshoe Bend. Funeral services were held in Harford, Mich. Interment was at the Keeler Cemetery in Keeler, Mich.
