Ida M. Womack - Lake City

A graveside service for Ida M. Womack, 78, of Lake City, who died Sunday, April 18, 2004, was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Dr. Glen Putman officiated. Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro was in charge of arrangements.

Honorary pallbearers were Greg Womack, Drew Womack, Jeffrey Womack, Derek Womack, Jim Smith and Dr. Ray Hall, Jr.

Born in Jonesboro, she had lived in Lake City for the last 50 years. She was a homemaker and had worked as an agent for the Arkansas Revenue Department's Lake City office, retiring after 17 years. She was a Baptist and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include two sons, Tommy Womack of Jonesboro and Ricky Womack of Lake City; a sister, Jeanne Sossaman of Spring, Texas; two brothers, Joe Bannon of Grenada, Miss., and Charles Bannon of Nesbit, Miss.; four grandchildren, Greg Womack and Jeffrey Womack, both of Lake City, Drew Womack of Memphis and Derek Womack of Durham, N.C.; and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas I. Womack; her parents, Claude R. and Ella Mae Loftin Bannon; and two brothers.
