Jacqueline (Jackie) Sain Johnson, 47, of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Flint, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at Tucson Medical Center. She was born July 14, 1956 in Flint, the daughter of Danny and Doris (Kennett) Sain. She married Kris Johnson in Grand Blanc in 1995. She was currently attending the University of Arizona in Tucson to finish her studies in Education. She was an active member of Desert Skies United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher, youth director, choir member, church secretary and a member of the bell choir. When she lived in Flint Township, she served on the Zoning Board and ran for twonship clerk. In 1993, Johnson received the National Weather Service Modernization Award for her work during the transition of the weather station from Ann Arbor to White Lake Township in Oakland County. During the 1972-73 school year, she was a junior at Leachville High School where she was a member of the choir. She was also a member of the first class of Mississippi County Community College, now Arkansas Northeastern College, where she attended her freshman year.

Survivors include her husband, Kris Johnson of Tucson, Ariz.; two sons, Dain McDonald of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Sean McDonald of Flint, Mich.; her parents, Danny and Doris Sain of Grand Blanc, Mich.; seven siblings, Dorina Sain of Flint, Mich., Rebecca Scofield of Leslie, Mich., Danny Sain, Jr., and wife, Mary, of Bandcroft, Mich., Norma Sain of Mt. Morris, Mich., Jan Steinborn and husband, Paul of Flushing, Mich., Ramona Sain and husband, Bill Khouri of Davison, Mich., Rick Sain of Flint, Mich.; her grandmother, Marie Moore Kennett, of Leachville; her uncle, Ronald D. Kennett and wife, Sandra, of Leachville, and other Arkansas aunts, uncles and cousins; 12 nieces and nephews, Jason, Jennifer, Jocelyn, Amy, Danny III, Travis, Blake, Grant, Tate, Justin, Jordan, and Jesse.

Preceding her in death include her grandfather Norman F. Kennett and uncles, Thomas O. Kennett and Donald R. Kennett, grandparents, Ben and Elizabeth Sain; brother-in-law, Bill Scofield.

A memorial service was held at the Desert Skies United Methodist Church in Tucson. Funeral Services was held at 2 p.m. Dec. 27, at Court Street United Methodist Church in Flint, with Pastor Steven J. Buck officiating. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc.
