Corene Roberts - Leachville

Corene Roberts, 82, of Leachville, died Sunday, March 7. 2004, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Baggs, Okla., she was the daughter of the late Corbet and Ethel Mayberry Adams and had been a Leachville resident since 1935. She was the widow of Ray Roberts and was a member of the Leachville Church of God.

She is survived by a son, Raymond Roberts of Benton Harbor, Mich.; a daughter, Barbara Spencer of Leachville; three sisters, Zella Hitt of Tennessee, Juanita Royer of Leachville, and Vivian Webb of Arlington, Texas; nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Ray Adams; a sister, Bernice Adams; a daughter, Betty Virginia Roberts, and a great-grandson, Landon Joseph Spencer.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Bradley Massey, Joshua Elder, Anthony Hererra, Ralph Barton, Terry Stewart, Billy Hetler.

Honorary pallbearers were Shane Lasater, Larry Elder, Randy Phillips and Mitchell Lasater.
