Dorothy Austin - Paragould

Dorothy Juanita Austin, 80, of Paragould died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. Born at Leachville, she was a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal belief.

Survivors include a son, Alfred J. "Jody" Austin Jr. of Paragould; a sister, Ruby Jewell Powell of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Joey Austin and Justin Nolen, both of Paragould, and Salena Couch of Monette; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred J. Austin Sr.; her parents, J.C. and Emma Barger; and a sister.

A graveside service was held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Linwood Cemetery with Shane Stovall officiating. Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Kenny Harris, Payden Blevins, Bill McCreless, "Jody" Austin Jr., and Joey Austin and A.J. Austin.
