James L. Chambers Jr. - Jonesboro

James L. Chambers, Jr., 63, of Jonesboro, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at his residence. He was retired from Lincoln Manufacturing Co., of the Baptist belief, a U.S. Navy veteran, and had lived in Jonesboro one year, formerly of the Monette and Lake City area.

He is survived by a son, Blake Chambers of Jonesboro; three daughters, Donna Chambers, Cindy Meredith, and Roxanne McPherson, all of Jonesboro; a sister, Glenda DiSalvo, of Marreno, La.; two brothers, Fred Chambers and Robert Chambers, both of Monette; three grandchildren, Nathan Chambers, Scott Chipman, and Hunter McPherson.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, James "Dell" Chambers, and Geneva Wallace Chambers.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Don Miller officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Pallbearers were Fred Chambers, Robert Chambers, Henry DiSalvo, Jerry Reed, Larry Rolland and Larry Drummond.
