Andrew Jackson McKinney, Jr. - Caraway

Andrew Jackson McKinney Jr., 77, of Caraway died Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was a retired cotton ginner, member of Buffalo Baptist Church, U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Verneal McKinney, of the home; a sister, Kathryn Clark of Kentucky; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Jimmy Ruiz of Turrell, and Paulette and Charles Watson of Caraway; two grandchildren, Terry and wife, Becky Ruiz, and Sarah Beth Watson; and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Rick Stevens and Rev. Larry Pendegraft officiating. Burial was in the Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Pallbearers were Barry Riley, Mike Riley, Terry Ruiz, don Orr, Ervin Smith, and Tim Brickell.
